Meşhur kişilerin ölümlerinden sonra onların iyiliklerini, ölümlerinden duyulan acıları manzum olarak belli bir makamla ifade eden acıklı metinlere İslâmiyet Öncesi Türk Edebiyatı’nda sagu, Türk Halk Edebiyatı’nda ağıt, Divan Edebiyatı’nda ise mersiye denir. Türk edebiyatında ağıtın önemli bir yeri vardır. Orhun yazıtlarından itibaren rastlanan bu çeşit manzumeler daha çok beylerin, şehzadelerin, devlet adamlarının ve padişahların ölümü dolayısıyla yazılmıştır. Bu çalışma 19. yüzyılın ünlü Türkistan şair ve tarihçilerinden Mûnis Harezmî’nin (1778-1829) Hive beyi Avaz Inak’ın (1791-1804) ölümü üzerine yazmış olduğu bir mersiyesi üzerinedir. Çalışmada öncelikle Mûnis’in ve Avaz Inak’ın hayatı hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir. Daha sonra da Mûnis’in Avaz Inak’ın ölümü üzerine yazmış olduğu mersiyesi ele alınmıştır. Firdevsü’l-ikbâl’in İstanbul nüshasından alınmış olan bu şiir 19. yüzyıl Çağataycası ile yazılmıştır. Söz konusu manzume terkib-i bent tarzındadır ve dokuz bentten meydana gelmektedir. Çalışmanın sonuna bu manzumenin söz varlığı eklenmiştir.
The pathetic texts specifically express kindness and sorrows because of deaths of famous people after their death as written in verse. This texts called sagu in Before Islamism Turkish Literature, ağıt in Turkish Public Literature, mersiye in Divan Literature. Funeral songs are important in Turkish literature. This sort of verses which are seen from Orhun inscriptions on which have been written caused by death of masters, princeses, statesmen and sultans. This study concerns funeral song (mersiye) that was written by Munis Harezmi (1778-1829) who was a famous Uzbek poet and historian in the 19th century in consequence death of Avaz Inak (1791-1804) who was Khiva’s master. In study, it has been given the knowledges about firstly biography of Munis and then biography of Avaz Inak according to a handwritten manuscript that called Firdaws al-iqbal which was written by Munis. Lastly we have been dealt with funeral song (mersiye) that was written by Munis Harezmi due to death of Avaz Inak. This poetry has been written with the 19th century Chagatay Turkish which has been received from manuscript copy of Istanbul of Firdaws al-iqbal. Mentioned poetry is style of terkib-i bend and it has nine bent. Besides we were added vocabulary of the poem at end of the study.
